Vietnam Veterans of America president addresses Dover Capital City Rotary Club

Delaware News Desk

Paul Davis, president, Delaware Council, Vietnam Veterans of America, addressed the Dover Capital City Rotary Club on July 23 about VVA Kent County Chapter 850's involvement in the club's annual Flags for Heroes project.

The project takes place during the week surrounding Memorial Day each year, when 400 flags are placed on the Delaware Technical Community College Terry Campus. Chapter 850 supplied volunteers for the set up and take down of the flags.

Davis spoke about the importance of the display, particularly for veterans, and stressed the need to educate children about the freedoms symbolized by the flag, pledging ongoing support for the project.

Davis also serves as vice president of the Friends of Delaware Veterans, which raises money for the Veterans Trust Fund; visit delawareveteranstrustfund.com.
