Democrat for 16th District Representative


Each candidate was asked to respond to three questions.

1. What are the top issues you will address in your campaign and what are your plans for moving those issues forward?


Putting an end to disproportionate funding and resource allocation for children with special needs, implement practices that lead to safer schools, and increase teachers' pay.

Create apprenticeship programs for veterans and ex-offenders as part of a State-wide Self-Sufficiency Initiative.

Jobs/economic development:

To help grow our economy we’ll work to bring the film & TV industry, and clean energy jobs, like solar and wind power manufacturing and installation.

Provide oversight & insure equitable opportunity distribution of opportunities for the Port of Wilmington’s Expansion.

Public safety:

Work to ensure all police academies train the same, across the state on how to deal with, de-escalation, mental health, and people with disabilities.

Provide access to affordable mental health services to all citizens who need it, and require background checks for all gun buys.


Work to protect Medicaid and Medicare for our children, seniors & veterans.

2. What makes you uniquely qualified for the political office you seek?

Living in the 16th District my whole life, and having was vice president for the South Bridge Civic Association, I know the concerns and have worked with many different organizations to help make the 16th District a better place to live.

Having been elected four times to serve in statewide positions enabled me to work with a lot of legislatures on issues effecting the citizens of Delaware. I have testified before the house and the Senate on many different bills over the years.
