Delaware State Police Troop 3, 3759 S. State St. Camden, will host an information night at 6 p.m. Nov. 18 for high school students interested in participating in the Delaware State Police Trooper Youth Program.

The Delaware State Police Trooper Youth Program is comprised of young men and women who have an interest in law enforcement and participating in various community events.

Participants must be between 14-18 years old and at least in the ninth grade. While in the program, trooper youth are taught a variety of police procedures including fingerprinting, evidence collection and patrol procedures. The program strives to lead participants down the right path and stand as positive role models by instilling leadership, responsibility, integrity and commitment. The program is run and overseen by Delaware State Police troopers.

Minimum qualifications for participants are mature, clean-cut, clean shaven, 2.0 or above GPA and no criminal convictions. This is not a discipline program.
