The associates of Walmart Facility 5039 in Camden, managed by William Loyola, presented a $1,000 donation to Caring Hearts Helping Hands

The Walmart Community Grants team supports the charitable work by nonprofit organizations.

“We are excited to announce we received a grant from Walmart Giving for our charitable work in Kent County, Delaware,” said Caring Hearts Helping Hands President Jerry Abel. “CHHH receives donations of items and funds from the community and donates them back to our 125 client families.”

CHHH’s two major projects are Heart & Sole, which provides backpacks with school supplies, and kids’ Christmas gifts. Low-income working Kent County family clients shop in the CHHH warehouse once a month at no cost. CHHH is staffed solely by volunteers. CHHH is in need of Christmas shoppers and family sponsors.

Volunteers and donations are welcome. Donations could include money, new and gently used furniture, clothes, shoes, kitchen items, cleaning supplies, linens and small appliances.
