The third annual Leipsic Oyster Festival is set for noon to 5 p.m. Oct. 12 at a new location, Northwood Park, in Leipsic.
In addition to oysters, steamed crabs will join the menu.
The festival celebrates Leipsic’s long history as a working riverfront community and the natural bounty its residents have harvested for hundreds of years.
“The third year of this growing festival, which showcases Leipsic and its history as a waterfront community, will be better than ever,” said festival organizer Debbie McKeever. “Moving the festival to the new Northwood Park gives us more space for live entertainment, vendors and guests, as well as a beautiful setting for everyone to enjoy.”
Applications are open for those interested in being food vendors for the festival. Download an application at bit.ly/2PPcIF8.
