J.C. Penney named Gwen Cleaves general manager of its Dover Mall store effective immediately.
Cleaves has been with the company for almost 10 years and brings varied experience to her new role in the company’s highest level of store leadership.

Penney is worth their time, money and effort.”
Cleaves earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of Fresno and began her professional career as a cosmetologist instructor at Clovis Adult Education. In her time with J.C. Penney, Cleaves progressed from master stylist to salon leader before being named general manager of the J.C. Penney store in Hanford, California. Prior to joining J.C. Penney, she was a hair stylist and owner at Hair Affair International.
