Kent County’s Post Acute Medical Rehabilitation Hospital of Dover welcomed Elizabeth Campbell, of Dover, as its first patient Feb. 25.

The hospital, 1240 McKee Road, Dover, held several open house events, including a recent reception for first responders, including military, police, fire, emergency medical services and corrections officers.

The 34-bed hospital accommodates inpatient and outpatient needs through its focus on physical, occupational and speech therapy, said Kirill Alekseyev, the hospital’s medical director.

Alekseyev is a physical medicine and rehabilitation physician who has published and done work on concussions and brain injury. He will address the 28th annual Brain Injury Association of Delaware conference on March 8 at Dover Downs and host a second annual Concussions Grand Rounds seminar in April in Dover.
