Military, police, fire, emergency medical services and corrections members and other first responders will be welcomed to visit the Post Acute Medical Rehabilitation Hospital of Dover, 1240 McKee Road, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 19.

The 34-bed hospital is one of 10 PAM outpatient facilities nationally that accommodate inpatient and outpatient needs through its focus on physical, occupational and speech therapy, according to Kirill Alekseyev, the hospital’s medical director.

Alekseyev is a physical medicine and rehabilitation physician who has published and done extensive work on concussions and brain injury.

He will address the 28th annual Brain Injury Association of Delaware Conference at Dover Downs in March and host a second annual Concussions Grand Rounds seminar in Dover in April that will feature medical professionals, former Superbowl players and Delaware’s boxing champion and motivational speaker Dave Tiberi.

Although the Feb. 19 event is focused on first responders, it is open to the public. Box lunches will be provided from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with light refreshments available throughout the event.
