Wesley College Associate Professor of Psychology Albee Mendoza and her mentor, Associate Professor of Psychology at East Carolina University Jeannie Golden, co-authored a peer-reviewed journal article, “How Pre-tenure and Tenured Faculty Can Engage Undergraduates in Publishable Research.”

The article was featured in the online publication, “Frontiers in Psychology.”

The journal is an online, open access, peer-reviewed journal which publishes a variety of article types within different fields of psychology. This article was inspired by a topic call for abstracts titled “Engaging Undergraduates in Publishable Research: Best Practices,” within the area of Educational Psychology.

The article outlines obstacles pre-tenure and tenured faculty face in supporting their students’ goal of publishing research as well as strategies to overcome these challenges.

This publication was made possible by the Delaware IDeA Networks of Biomedical Research Excellence program, supported by a grant from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences — NIGMS (P20 GM103446) from the National Institutes of Health and Delaware.
