Omari Marion, 18, Raiquan Fisher, 17 and Harry Charles, 13, were arrested Dec. 8.

Three people, including a 13-year-old, have been arrested on car theft and other charges following a chase on the eastern side of the city.

Dover Police Department spokesman Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman identified the three as Omari Marion, 18, Raiquan Fisher, 17 and Harry Charles, 13.

At about 10:04 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8 on South Governor’s Boulevard in Capital Park, he said, officers were in the subdivision after receiving a report about a Toyota Prius stolen from North American Avenue earlier in the day.

They also were aware a Chevrolet Sonic had been reported stolen by Milford police after a suspect got out of a Prius in a Wawa parking lot. Dover officers spotted both in the area of South Governors and Senator Avenue.

The Prius driver, later identified as Fisher, abandoned the vehicle on Dover Circle and was picked up by Marion, who was driving the Sonic with Fisher as a passenger.

Officers tried without success to stop the Sonic as it was driven down Bay Road; it turned into the Blue Hen Corporate Center parking lot, onto South Little Creek Road, into Barrister Place and the Stoney Creek Development and finally into the Schoolview development, where all three got out and tried to run away.

All were caught by pursuing officers, Hoffman said, and are charged with theft of a motor vehicle, illegal gang participation, second-degree conspiracy, and resisting arrest, Hoffman added.

In addition, Fisher has been charged with several traffic violations and second-degree burglary based on an outstanding warrant from an unrelated case.

Marion also is charged with receiving stolen property, disregarding a police officer’s signal and multiple traffic violations.

He was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on a $9,760 cash bail; Fisher and Charles were sent to the William M. Stevenson House Detention Center in default of $7,520 and $7,500 cash bonds, respectively.
