UnitedHealthcare will donate laptop computers to the Modern Maturity Center to help increase computer and internet access for members of the community.

The computers will enable seniors and their families to access health information, apply for assistance programs and search for educational and other online resources.

UnitedHealthcare representatives will present the computers at 11 a.m. Dec. 12 at the center, 1121 Forrest Ave., Dover. A tutor will be available on-site from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. to provide assistance using the computers at no cost.

The donation is part of UnitedHealthcare’s Community Computers program, which enables community organizations and nonprofits to provide computer and Internet access to people in underserved communities. The company, to date, has donated more than 3,000 computers nationwide since the program began in 2012.
