Jarvis James, 65, suffered an apparent medical problem that caused him to crash his car.
An apparent medical emergency was the cause of a four-vehicle crash that took the life of a 65-year-old man.
Dover Police Department spokesman Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said the crash took place at about 11:07 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30.
The victim, identified as Jarvis James, was driving in the 300 block of North Governors Avenue when he suddenly hit two parked vehicles on the road shoulder and continued to travel up the road, hitting a Jeep traveling in the opposite direction.
Hoffman said that based on early evidence, it is thought James suffered from an undisclosed medical condition that incapacitated him and possibly caused his death.
The occupants of the Jeep were taken to this hospital and listed in serious but stable condition.
The department is continuing its investigation, Hoffman said.
