Samuel Seymour III was arrested Nov. 27, faces drug charges

Dover police who pulled over a man for a cell phone violation ended up making a drug arrest.

Department spokesman Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said the arrest took place at about 3:22 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27 in the area of North Caroline Place and Greenway Lane.

While they were trying to get Seymour to stop, police spotting him allegedly trying to tuck or hide various items as he tried to flee.

When Seymour’s vehicle was stopped, a search turned up 4.3 grams of cocaine and 6.7 grams of 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine, aka ecstasy.

He is charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver MDMA/cocaine, tampering with physical evidence, resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia and traffic violations.

Seymour was released on a $23,201 unsecured bond.
