Surveillance camera footage showed the suspect in the act

Dover police are investigating a break-in and theft at a local store.

The burglary took place at the Wireless Zone store at 75 Greentree Drive, department spokesman Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said.

At about 10:17 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, officers were called to the Greentree Shopping Center after a passerby reported the store’s front glass had been shattered. Officers also reported additional damage to a door, Hoffman said.

A store employee arriving shortly afterward reported three display cell phones had been taken; based on surveillance footage, it was learned the incident took place at about 5:13 a.m. by an unknown person wearing a blue hooded jacket/sweatshirt, white undershirt, blue jeans, and black and white sneakers with red laces.

Anyone with information on this crime is asked to contact the Dover Police Department at (302)736-7130, Hoffman said. Tips may be left anonymously.
