The Dover/Kent Metropolitan Planning Organization completed a logo contest and announced a new logo.

The logo was designed by Ian Peters, of Dover, who works for the Delaware Highway Administration as a data analyst. There were five finalist, voted for online. Peters' logo was the winner and was unanimously voted in by the MPO Council Nov. 14.

Helen Wiles, public outreach manager for the Dover/Kent MPO, said the new logo is "very modern, very clean and helps to tell folks about what we do."

The new logo will start to replace the old one on all of the MPO publications and online portals.
