Ayhanna Baker-Griffin had been missing for five days.

A case of a missing Dover woman has turned into a murder/suicide investigation.

Dover Police Department spokesman Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said the bodies of Ahyanna Baker-Griffin and Dishiem Johnson were found Thursday, Nov. 15 in a Camden apartment.

Baker-Griffin, 20, was reported missing Nov. 10 and was last seen leaving her South Queen Street home with Johnson in a dark-colored Nissan Sentra.

On Thursday, Dover detectives found the Sentra in a parking lot at 155 S. West Street in Camden, Hoffman said, and learned Johnson might be in a nearby apartment.

After locating and entering the apartment, they found Johnson’s remains, a case of an apparent suicide, and the body of Baker-Griffin, an apparent murder victim.

Hoffman said the pair apparently died by gunshot, but could not provide information on the time of death.

The final determination on the manner of death will be made by the Delaware Division of Forensic Science, Office of the Medical Examiner.

Hoffman said the case remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call Dover police at 736-7111.
