The Dover Century Club, 40 The Green, will be transformed into the Market Fair Inn from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 3 as part of the First State Heritage Park's 18th Century Market Fair.
The Market Fair Inn will sell pulled pork and smoked chicken sandwiches, beef hot dogs, vegetarian chili and homestyle soups, including ham and bean, beef barley, pumpkin with black bean, and chorizo. Autumn sweet treats and beverages — hot chocolate, cider, coffee and water — will also be available. Proceeds benefit the club’s youth scholarship and building funds.
On the building’s second floor, the club’s garden study group will sell handmade seasonal wreaths and table décor. In addition, local crafters and artisans will showcase their quality crafts and collectibles for sale. To benefit its community service projects, the club will also sell raffle tickets for a handmade Christmas tree quilt. Professor Horn’s Punch and Judy Puppet Show will return this year. Performances are free and run about 30 minutes.
