The Friends of Kent County Public Library will celebrate the 150th anniversary of the publication of “Little Women” with a Literary Tea fundraiser from 2 to 4 p.m. Dec. 8 in the Barrett Room of the Duncan Center, 500 W. Loockerman St., Dover.
Tickets are $30 per person and must be purchased in advance. Ticket includes the tea service with assorted tea sandwiches, scones with lemon curd and clotted cream, petite desserts, teas and coffee. There will also be a presentation on author and activist Louisa May Alcott by Trish Chambers Productions. In addition, there will also be a Chinese auction with proceeds going to the Friends of Kent County Public Library.
Tickets are on sale at Kent County Public Library, 497 S. Red Haven Lane, Dover. Tickets will not be sold at the door. Payment by cash or check payable to Friends of Kent County Public Library. Dress is business casual — no athleisure wear — though hats and period clothing are welcome.
