43-year-old Timothy Toner has been found deceased.
A 43-year-old Lewes man has been found dead south of Dewey Beach.
Timothy Toner entered the ocean in the area of Rehoboth Avenue, in Rehoboth Beach, at around 1:30 a.m. today, Monday, August 20. A friend reported him missing after he did not return for 20 minutes. Multiple agencies responded to assist in the land, air, and water search, but all were unsuccessful in locating Toner.
On Monday morning, just after 11 a.m., Toner’s body was spotted in the surf along the beach in the Delaware Seashore State Park, in the area of Tower Road. A forensic investigator from the Division of Forensic Science responded to the scene and the body was removed. A death investigation is being conducted by the Rehoboth Beach Police Department with the assistance of the Division of Forensic Science and the Delaware State Police.
At this time no foul play is suspected.

The Coast Guard is searching for a swimmer who went missing off Rehoboth Beach early Monday morning.
Timothy Toner, a 43-year-old caucasian male with red hair, was last seen wearing black pants and no shirt.
The Coast Guard was initially notified of the distress call by the Rehoboth Beach 911 dispatch center at 1:45 a.m and launched an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter aircrew from Air Station Atlantic City and a 47-foot Motor Life Boat from Station Indian River in response.
Also assisting with the search are Delaware Fish and Wildlife Natural Resources Police and the Rehoboth Beach Police Department.
