Broke into daycares, dog kennel

UPDATE: Delaware State Police have arrested 40-year-old David A. Honeycutt, of Rehoboth Beach, in connection with multiple burglaries.

The incidents occurred during the week of July 9, in the overnight hours, when the suspect broke into multiple businesses and stole an undisclosed amount of cash. Those businesses included:

Through investigative measures, Honeycutt was identified as the suspect. He was apprehended at his girlfriend's residence in the Ridings at Rehoboth July 17, without incident. He was charged with three counts of third-degree burglary, felony theft, misdemeanor theft, three counts of criminal mischief and two counts of attempt to commit theft.

Further investigations are being conducted at this time and additional charges are forthcoming.


Delaware State Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect involved in multiple burglaries.

The incidents occurred between Monday, July 9 and Wednesday, July 11, during the overnight hours, when the suspect entered three daycare centers and a dog kennel, in the Lewes and Millsboro areas, and took an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a white male, 20-30 years of age, between 5 feet 9 inches and 6 feet tall and between 180-205 pounds. He has a distinct tattoo on his right forearm.
