Capital Grange, 911 S. Governors Ave., Dover, is offering a free six-week workshop, “Diabetes Self-Management,” from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesdays beginning May 29.
This research-based program developed by Stanford University can help one become empowered to limit the progression of diabetes and diabetic complications through understanding of diabetes, proper use of medications, healthy eating choices and use of exercise to maintain quality of life. Action planning is a key component of this program that helps participants deal with stress, fatigue and emotions. Participants will receive a copy of “Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Disease.”
The workshop will meet May 29; June 5, 12, 19 and 26; and July 3.
