Officers with the Dover Police Department have arrested 19-year-old Syncere Friends in connection with a recent shooting.
The incident took place at about 8:48 p.m. Thursday, April 17 in the 400 block of East Water Street, department spokesman Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said. Two homes were hit, but there were no injuries.
Several shell casings were found at the scene, he added.
Syncere Friends was developed as a suspect during the investigation and was taken into custody without resisting Thursday, April 26, during a traffic stop.
He is charged with five counts of first-degree reckless endangering, two counts of criminal mischief, second-degree conspiracy, possession of a firearm by a person prohibited and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
He also faces several traffic charges, Hoffman said.
Friends was committed to the Vaughn Correctional Center, Smyrna, on an $83,000 secured bond.
