Delaware State University honored three Delaware women during its recent Margaret Oliver First Lady’s Tea.
Held March 25 in the University’s Martin Luther King Jr. Student Center and attended by
more than 300 women, the university recognized as its 2018 First Lady’s Tea honorees Beatrice “Bebe” Coker, New Castle County educator, playwright and activist; Mable R. Morrison, a 55-year music associate professor of music at Delaware State University; and Esthelda “Stell” Parker-Selby, a longtime Sussex County educator, public servant and DSU alumna, class of 1971.
In addition, the First Lady’s Tea Committee honored Virginia L. Carson as the event’s co-chair emeritus. Carson has co-chaired the first three First Lady’s Tea at DSU.
