A man who police said was wearing a pair of plaid pajama bottoms and slippers is being sought as a suspect in an early morning armed robbery.
The incident took place at 5:01 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 30 at the Royal Farms store at 293 S. Saulsbury Road, Dover Police Department spokesman Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said in a press release.
Witnesses said a black man came into the store displaying and handgun and demanding cash; after receiving the money he fled in a black Toyota Camry. A woman was driving the car, Hoffman said.
In addition to his bedroom attire, the man was wearing a dark shirt and ball cap.
Police are continuing their investigation; anyone with information on this crime is asked to call Dover police at 736-7111. Tips may be left anonymously.
