Jason Stewart, of Camden, was named State GOP Young Republican of the Year at the State GOP Convention on April 28 at Dover Downs Hotel and Casino’s Rollins Center.
Stewart is vice chairman of the 34th Republican district and also serves as Kent County representative of the Delaware Veterans Coalition. He previously served as president of Delaware Technical Community College’s Veterans Inspiring Progress and is a member of Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society, Alpha Epsilon Chapter.
An Iraqi War veteran, Stewart was a member of the military police and is trained in active shooter response techniques. He also served on Legislative Hall’s Firearm Suicide Prevention Task Force.
Stewart holds an associate’s in science in business administration from Goldey-Beacom College and is a student at Wilmington University with a concentration in business management.
