The men escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police in Harrington are investigating the late-night robbery of a local liquor store.

The incident took place at about 9:30 p.m. Monday, May 1, at Midtown Liquors in the Liberty Plaza Shopping Center, department spokesman Capt. Earl K. Brode said.

Two men came into the store demanding the clerk hand over money; the men implied they had a weapon and threatened the clerk if their demands were not met, Brode said.

They fled the store on foot after receiving an undisclosed amount of money.

The robbers were black men, both wearing black hoodies, blue jeans, Timberland boots, and masks. The first was between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall and weighed between 175 and 200 pounds; the second was the same height but appeared to weigh between 160 and 180 pounds.
