Delaware State University’s Department of Music will hold its annual Brass Day on the afternoon of April 1 in the Education and Humanities Theatre on campus, 1200 N. Dupont Highway, Dover.
This year’s Brass Day will feature the Brass Quintet from U.S. President’s Marine Band and jazz musician Jarritt Sheel, on trumpet.
Events will include:
— 1 p.m., DSU student concert featuring the university’s brass musicians.
— 2 p.m., U.S. Marine Band brass clinics.
— 3 p.m., Improvisation workshop.
— 4 p.m., Brass Quintet concert.
Brass Day is free and open to the public. Musicians of all ages are encouraged to bring their instruments to participate in the Improvisational workshop.
