State police are investigating a Tuesday night crash that took the life of a Frederica man.

Glode Requa, 92, died Wednesday, Jan. 10, two weeks after the crash, Delaware State Police spokesman Master Cpl. Gary Fournier said.

The police investigation shows the crash took place at about 9:04 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2016, as Requa was driving a Toyota Camry eastbound on Barratt’s Chapel Road. Requa was going around a left-hand curve when he apparently lost control and went off the north side of the roadway.

He hit a dirt embankment, and then a guardrail, Fournier said.

Requa was admitted to Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital in critical condition but died of his injuries.
