Three teens have been arrested in connection with a Dec. 23 double shooting in Dover.
Dover Police Department spokesman Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said Eugene Riley, 18, of Houston, Charles Livingston, 16, of Leipsic and Jamal Jones, 17, of Dover, were arrested the day after the shootings. The three were taken into custody after the alleged getaway vehicle used after the shooting was found in Capitol Park.
The shooting took place at about 7:40 p.m. Friday, Dec. 23, in an alley between Sussex Avenue and Collins Drive in Capitol Green.
The victims, who are brothers, said they were shot by a black man wearing a tan coat, mask and jeans. The suspect was about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs around 140 pounds, and drove away in a white Buick Rendezvous SUV.
The two were admitted to Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital in stable condition, Hoffman said in an earlier press release.
Livingstone and Jones both are charged with two counts of second-degree assault, possession of a firearm during commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, wearing a disguise during commission of a felony, second-degree conspiracy and receiving stolen property. Both are being held on a $199,000 cash bond.
Livingston is charged with possession of a firearm by a person prohibited and receiving stolen property. He was released from custody on a $13,000 unsecured bond.
