UPDATE: On Thursday, Dec. 29, the New Castle County Police Department took 31-year-old Christina M. McBride, of Claymont, into custody after an investigation into the Dec. 24 robbery of the Milford CVS led to a warrant for her arrest.
McBride was charged with first-degree robbery, third-degree assault, endangering the welfare of a child and disorderly conduct. She was committed to the Delores J. Baylor Women's Correctional Institution on $5,600 secured bond pending a preliminary hearing, scheduled for Jan. 13, 2017, in the Kent County Court of Common Pleas.
The Milford Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a female suspect that was involved in a strong armed robbery at the CVS Pharmacy in the 600 block of North Dupont Blvd around 12:10 p.m. on December 24.
The female entered the store with a school-age male juvenile and attempted to remove several items from the shelves and flee the building, but an employee activated the security system and approached her. The suspect rammed her body into the employee several times, resulting in an injury to the employee's arm. The suspect then fled the store with the juvenile and left in a tan Ford F250.
The female suspect is described as white with brown hair and a large build. She weighs between 170 and 190 lbs., stands between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 7 inches, and is between 25 and 30 years old. At the time of the crime, she was wearing a dark-colored jacket, dark-colored pants and a light-colored shirt. Anyone with information regarding this incident or the suspect is asked to contact Cpl.
