Troopers seized 910 bags of heroin.
Delaware State Police troopers seized several bundles of heroin during a traffic stop on Del. Route 1 over the weekend.
Two Dover men, identified as Roman Wiltbank, 20, and De’von G. Walker, were arrested, division spokesman Sgt. Richard Bratz said. Wiltbank was behind the wheel while Walker was riding in the front seat, he added.
The trooper made the stop at about 2:16 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9 after seeing a silver Jaguar being driven at a high rate of speed in a 25 mph zone. Both men were asked to leave the car after the trooper thought he smelled marijuana, Bratz said, although none ultimately was found.
The trooper did find 910 bags of heroin, totaling 13.65 grams, Bratz said.
Both men are charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession of heroin, second-degree conspiracy, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Additionally, Wiltbank is additionally charged with speeding and failure to have insurance identification in his possession.
Wiltbank was committed to the Vaughn Correctional Center, Smyrna, on a $41,100 secured bond, while Walker was committed there on a $40,550 secured bond.
