James Butler, of Camden, was named Employee of the First Quarter 2016 by Kent-Sussex Industries Inc.

Butler chose KSI’s Supported Employment Program in November 2015 to assist him in finding a job. With job coaching from KSI employment specialists, Butler found a job near his home in a field that matches his interests.

He was hired at Harbor Freight Tools in March 2016 and has proven to be a valuable asset. He accepted more responsibilities in a short time and works almost full time with flexible hours. The store manager at Harbor Freight Tools, Jabbar Winward, appreciates Butler’s dedication, flexibility and service of customers in a pleasant and efficient manner.

Butler’s name has been added to a permanent plaque at KSI, and he received a $50 Visa gift card from Dover Federal Credit Union. He also received a gift certificate donated by G & R Campground in Houston entitling him to spend a weekend in one of their cottages and a one year aquatics membership from the Greater Milford Boys & Girls Club.

KSI is a nonprofit agency providing vocational training, employment, supported employment, community integration, transportation and day habilitation services to individuals with disabilities throughout Kent and Sussex counties.
