Delaware State Police have no suspects in their investigation into a Friday shooting at a Dover apartment complex.

The incident happened at about 11 p.m. Aug. 28 at the Alder Park Apartments on Webbs Lane, said division spokesman Master Cpl. Gary Fournier.

Troopers went to the complex to investigate a report of shots being fired, but could not locate a victim. Witnesses had no additional information, Fournier said.

However, within five minutes of the call to police, emergency personnel at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital reported a 25-year-old man had been dropped off in front of the hospital emergency room, suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper body.

Troopers learned the man had been shot while outside the apartment complex in the area of the G and H buildings. He was brought to the hospital in a friend’s car, Fournier said.

The man later was airlifted to Christiana Medical Center, where his condition is not known.
