The Smyrna Opera House will host "The Eighties Strike Back" featuring the music and the costumes from 1980s bands and solo singers.

The Smyrna Opera House will host "The Eighties Strikes Back" featuring the tribute band Rubix Kube on Friday, Oct. 20 at 8 p.m., at the Opera House, 7 W. South St.

The band bills the concert as "a totally awesome, true '80s experience!"

Rubix Kube plays songs by Madonna, Michael Jackson, Cher, Prince, Devo, Bon Jovi, Guns N’ Roses, and more, dressed in the costumes and big hair featured in those MTV videos.

The band cranks out pop, rock, new wave, dance and hair metal hits from the decade of decadence.

This performance is a fundraiser for the Smyrna Opera House. Tickets are $20. No discounts will be available.

For tickets, call 653-4236, see the website or stop by the Opera House box office Tuesday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
