Parade starts on Main Street at Clayton Elementary and travels east across the railroad tracks, then turns north on North Reed Street, ending at Eagle Group/Metal Masters. Festival events will be held in and around the Clayton Firehouse.

The Clayton Railroad Days Festival is on track for Saturday, Oct. 7 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., with most events at the Clayton Firehouse and on Railroad Avenue in front of the firehouse.

The festival begins with an old-fashioned parade at 9:30 a.m. on Main Street starting at Clayton Elementary School and ending on North Reed Street and Industrial Boulevard near Eagle Group/Metal Masters.

Anyone who would like to take part in the parade should contact Skip Carrow at or 302-632-2405. Late entries will also be taken at Clayton Elementary the day of the parade.

At the festival, several groups will be performing including the Citizens' Hose Company Band, Providence Creek Academy Ballet, Crossfit 1806 and chainsaw work sculptors. There will also be a DJ playing music throughout the day.

Almost 50 vendors and exhibits will be featured including food vendors, companies like Concord Pet Food & Supplies, and home-based businesses such as Etched Painted Glass, Tastefully Simple, Tupperware, LulaRoe, Mary Kay, LipSense, Thirty One gifts, Scentsy and many more.

There will be bounce houses and games for the kids and of course a large model train display.

Parking is available around the festival area.

The members of the Railroad Days Festival Committee invite everyone to come out enjoy and old-fashioned day of fun with friends and family.
