Delaware State Police have no surveillance photos of a man who robbed a convenience store clerk early Tuesday morning.

Delaware State Police spokesman Master Cpl. Gary Fournier said the incident took place at about 6:04 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1 at the Valero station at 1612 S. Dupont Highway.

Armed with a knife, the man came into the convenience store and threatened the clerk, Fournier said. The woman moved away as the robber grabbed several roles of scratch-off lottery tickets and multiple packages of cigars.

He then ran out the door and west toward the nearby Rodney Village.

The clerk was not hurt during the incident, Fournier said.

The suspect is described as a black man carrying a black and tan camouflage backpack. He stands about 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches in height, weighs between 165 and 185 pounds and was wearing a gray and black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
