A Dover-area man was arrested Wednesday after a stabbing incident that sent another man to the hospital.
The incident took place at about 7:15 p.m. June 17 in a home in the unit block of Webbs Lane, said Delaware State Police spokesman Sgt. Richard Bratz.
The suspect, identified as Brian L. Hobbs, 48, allegedly took a knife and stabbed his 39-year-old roommate.
Hobbs apparently remained in the home and was there when authorities arrived, Bratz said; he was taken into custody without incident. Police have no motive for the knifing, he said.
The wounded man was taken to Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital for treatment; he was last listed in stable condition, Bratz said.
Hobbs is charged with first-degree assault and possession of a deadly weapon during commission of a felony. He is being held at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in lieur of a $100,000 secured bond.
