A long line snaked from a canopy through the muddy fields as members of the security detail signed in. As they checked in, they were handed a t-shirt and cap.
Tyler Currie of BCM Security said at least 400 people will handle security throughout the festival.
After checking in, the security team joined the long line of fans waiting to board shuttles to the festive site. The shuttles were slow to get going but picked up soon. Bus load of workers and fans arrived at the site ready to party on the first day of Firefly.
