UPDATE (May 27) Cheswold Police were advised this morning that Ms. Temple returned to her home in Cheswold last evening at 9:30 p.m. with her daughter Amissa Wells. Both were safe and in unharmed in any way.
Cheswold Chief of Police Christopher Workman is asking the public’s help in finding woman who has not been seen since the middle of May.
Susan Temple, 33, was last seen around noon, May 16 at her brother’s home in the Hunter’s Run development near Bear, Workman said. Cheswold Police were contacted by Temple’s father, who said she had left their home on Dayflower Court, Fox Pointe, on May 14 to take a car to a local repair shop.
Temple failed to return home, Workman said.
Temple reportedly picked up her daughter, Amissa Wells, at her brother’s home before she went missing, Workman said. Cheswold police and Temple’s father have tried to contact her via cell phone, without success he added.
Temple, who is wanted on two bench warrants, has custody of her daughter. She allegedly called her father May 22 and promised to return the following day, but did not do so, Workman said.
Police do not consider foul play to be a factor in this situation, but want Temple to contact police or another law enforcement agency to verify her whereabouts and that of her child.
Ms. Temple has custody of her child and is currently wanted on two capias’s. She allegedly made contact with her father on Friday afternoon but did not return on Saturday Morning 5/23 as she stated. At this time we believe that there is no foul play involved, but would like for Ms. Temple to contact the Cheswold Police or another agency to verify her whereabouts and the whereabouts of her child.
Anyone having seen Temple or her daughter is asked to contact 911 or the Cheswold Police at 734-2202.
