A Dover man, wanted on a prior bench warrant, was taken into custody Friday afternoon.
When arrested, Glenron T. Hooten, 34, was found to be carrying 4.2 grams of crack cocaine, packaged for sale, said Dover Police Department spokesman Lt. David Spicer.
Dover tactical, Operation Safe Streets and Drug, Vice and Organized Crime officers found Hooten at the corner of Fulton and North New streets and took him into custody based on the prior warrant, Spicer said. A search turned up the drugs, Spicer said.
Hooten, whose last known address was in the 100 block of Stoney Drive, Dover, is charged with possession with the intent to deliver cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and being a local fugitive.
He is being held at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center, Smyrna, in default of a $5,500 secured bond.
