A suspect in a Dover liquor store robbery escaped capture after police dogs tracked him to a mobile home park.

The robbery occurred at 10:20 p.m. Friday, at H&H Liquors, 1107 S. DuPont Highway, said Dover Police Department spokesman Lt. David Spicer.

The store clerk told police an armed man came into the store, demanding money. After receiving the cash, the man ran north toward Evergreen Drive, Spicer said.

The K9 tracked the man to the area of River View Estates, but police were unable to find him.

The robber is described as a black man wearing tan Timberland-style boots, tan pants, a black leather hoodie, gray hoodie, gloves and a piece of cloth covering his face.

No description of the firearm was available.
