Promotion ceremonies were held Friday for 18 Delaware State Police troopers who were advanced to higher ranks. The ceremonies were held at the Martin Luther King Jr. Student Center at Delaware State University.
Dignitaries present included police Superintendent Col. Nathaniel McQueen Jr., Gov. Jack Markell, Attorney General Matt Denn and Secretary of Safety and Homeland Security Lewis D. Schiliro.
Those promoted included:
-- From lieutenant to captain: Joshua A. Bushweller and Daniel H. Hall, both stationed at police headquarters in Dover.
-- From sergeant to lieutenant: David S. Hake (Troop 4 – Georgetown), Andrew J. Hudak (Troop 5 – Bridgeville), Scott D. Slover (Troop 6 – Prices Corner), Michael J. Wheeler (Troop 5 – Bridgeville), and Jon F. Wood (Headquarters – Dover).
-- From corporal to sergeant: Andrea Boone (Troop 1 – Penny Hill), Don F. Coleman Jr. (Troop 3 – Woodside), Michael D. Dill (Troop 5 – Bridgeville), Mark A. Gaglione (Troop 4 – Georgetown), Evan G.
