The Writing and Tutoring Center in Wesley College’s Department of Academic Support received an upgrade after a significant contribution from two career journalists. On Monday Oct. 6, faculty, staff, students, and members of the community gathered to honor Jim Flood Sr. and his wife Kathleen Flood.
Jessica Pilewski, Wesley College’s tutoring coordinator, presented the Floods with a memory book of before and after photos. A plaque was also placed in the center recognizing their contribution. The department, which had no location of its own, acquired the spot after the computer lab had been relocated.
Jim Flood is publisher emeritus of the Dover Post and Kathleen Flood had a long career as an editor and reporter for three daily newspapers in New Jersey. They cited enthusiasm, hard work, and vision of the staff as reasons for their support.
