Delaware State Police are seeking a Dover man in connection with the shooting of two people in Laurel last week.

The Delaware State Police are asking for the public's help to locate  Darron J. Hines, 27, of Dover, the suspect involved in the shooting of two victims in Laurel. The shooting occurred at 4:20 p.m., Wednesday March 14, in Carvel Gardens in Laurel. 

Police say just after 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, a man walked up to the driver’s side of the victims' parked car and pulled out a handgun.

The victims, a 20-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman, tried to escape through the passenger side of the car but the suspect allegedly fired several shots, hitting the man in the back and ankle and hitting the woman once in the lower back, according to a Delaware State Police news release.

Emergency services arrived and rushed the woman by helicopter to a local emergency room; the man was taken to another area hospital.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Hines for two counts of attempted murder 1st degree and a single count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
