The road was closed on West Denneys Road between Sharon Hill and Blue Heron roads, north of Dover, this morning because of a serious motor vehicle crash, Delaware State Police report.
A Camden man died from injuries sustained in a morning crash March 10 on West Dennys Road near Blue Heron Road, north of Dover.
According to police, at around 8:35 a.m. Dennis C. Braxton, 55, was traveling eastbound in his 2006 Dodge Caravan when he crossed the double-yellow line and collided head on with a 2000 Ford F-150 truck driven by Luis A. Rosado, 68, of Kenton.
Braxton was transported to BayHealth Kent General Hospital in Dover where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Rosado was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said Braxton was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, but Rosado was. Alcohol does not appear to have been a factor in the accident.
Police are continuing their investigation but do not expect to charge Rosado in this crash investigation. It currently is unknown why Braxton’s vehicle crossed center line.
West Dennys Road was closed between Sharon Hill and Blue Heron roads for about two hours following the accident.
