The AARP's Tax-Aide free, volunteer-staffed program helps people file federal and state taxes. The program is running local help sessions at two Dover locations.
Last year, more than 125 AARP Tax-Aide volunteers helped 10,000 Delawareans with filing their federal and state taxes, and by answering tax-related questions. Tax-Aide aims to provide high-quality, free income tax service to low and moderate income taxpayers, with special emphasis on those older than 60. While the emphasis is on those older than 60, others are not turned away because of age. This service is free.
