Elizabeth J. Little, 106, of Little Creek, died Feb. 22, 2009.

    Friends of the late Elizabeth J. Little, 106, of Little Creek, may call on the family at noon Friday, Feb. 27, at the Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover, where services will be held at 1 p.m.

    Mrs. Little died Feb. 22, 2009, at the Courtland Manor Nursing Home, Dover.

    Born Feb. 23, 1902, in Lewes, she was the daughter of the late Irvin S. Lynch and Jancy Bartlett Lynch.


    During World War II, Mrs. Little worked in a powder plant, but after the war concentrated on being a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, flowers and vegetables.

    She was a charter member of the Little Creek Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and was past president and a life member. She also was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Camden No. 3238 and the Little Creek Methodist Church.

    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward R. Little Sr., in August 1973; and her sons, Edward R. Little Jr. and John Little.

    Mrs. Little is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Stanley C. Little and his friend Elizabeth Porter, both of Felton and Irving “Mickey” and Shirley Little of Little Creek; a daughter-in-law, June Little of Harrington; her grandchildren, Stanley C. Little Jr., Irving W. Little Jr., Terry B. Little, Michael S. Little, Holly Little, Elizabeth Little, Susan Little and Anita Little; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

    Interment will be in the Sharon Hills Memorial Park, west of Dover.
