ABHA Architects unveiled artists’ rendering of the new Dover High School Tuesday night at Central Middle School.

Since a successful referendum in 2010, Capital School District has been working with EDiS and the architectural team of ABHA and HCM to budget and design the new Dover High School. In the referendum, residents authorized the district to proceed with a $132.1 million capital construction project.

This 290,000 square foot, $114 Million, 1,800-student high school is under construction on a 100-acre site just west of Dover along Del. Route 8.

Pre-Construction began in May of 2010 and concluded in August of 2011. The building foundation and structure work began in October 2011.

The overall project completion is scheduled for the spring of 2014 ready for the start of the school year in September.
