G. Alma Bole, age 86, of Dover, DE died Jan. 26, 2012 in Bay Health Medical, Dover.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late John V. and Gertrude Lawler Millar.
She was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. She had earned a B.A. in Journalism in 1949.
Mrs. Bole had been a faithful member of Holy Cross Church where she had served on several committees throughout the years.
She had been a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed travel, reading and cross word puzzles. She was a kind and gentle person who will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by two sons, John Bole in 1983, Theodore Bole, Jr. in 2008 and her husband, Theodore Bole, Sr. in 2008.
Mrs. Bole is survived by seven children, Alma Schmidt, Jane Briggs, Elizabeth Boaman, Elaine Bole Baierlein, Robert Bole, Thomas Bole and David Bole. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Friends were asked to call Sunday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State St. Dover, DE 19901. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at 1 p.m. on Monday in Holy Cross Church, 631 S. State St., Dover.
Interment followed in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dover.
