James B. Hagen age 58 died on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at his home.

He was born in Chestertown, Maryland to the late John and Lillian Buterbaugh Hagen, on July 17, 1953.

He retired from the U.S. Postal services in 2011.

He was an avid guitar player with local bands in the Dover area. In his spare time, he enjoyed cars, being outdoors doing yard work.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Melanie Yencer Hagen of Hartly, a son and his wife Kyle and Elizabeth Cordeiro of Montgomeryville, Maryland, a sister and her husband Elizabeth and Brian Bages of Wyoming, two grandchildren Charlotte and Caroline, a niece Ashley Bages, a great niece Adalyn.

A gathering of friends were invited to attend on Sunday, January 29, 2012 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Trader Funeral Home Inc., 12 Lotus Street, Dover, Delaware.

Burial will be private at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be given to Delaware Hospice 911 Lotus Plaza Dover, Delaware 19901.
